If you’re anything like me, you’re a strong supporter of chocolate being considered it’s own food group. Unfortunately sweet snacks don’t often offer much nutritional benefit and your cravings lead you down a path of Netflix with your main men; Ben and Jerry. Don’t get me wrong, it’s perfectly fine to treat yourself, in fact I encourage a little indulgence every so often but if you’re looking for a healthy alternative to keep you on track and satisfy those pesky cravings I have some great news! Here’s a quick, easy and healthy alternative to high sugar snacks to satisfy your sweet tooth.

2 x Ripe bananas
1/2 Block of Dark Chocolate melted
Peanut Butter
You can vary the ingredients to suit you

Cut the banana into 10mm slices and spread the peanut butter on one side. Top with other slice to form a sandwich
Using a skewer (or your fingers) dip the banana in the melted dark chocolate and place on a tray lined with baking paper
Refrigerate for roughly 1 hour or until set
